Anelia was born on July 1st, 1982 in Stara Zagora in the family of the Svetla and Georgi Atanasov. Her mother is from Sandanski (Anelia's grandfather's maternal line is from the village Laskarevo, her grandmother was from the village Lyubovka) but as little moved with her family in Stara Zagora. A genus of Anelia maternal line is composed of famous musicians. Her grandparents played bagpipe and tambour. Anelia is named after her grandfather's paternal line, Atanas.Her mother sang in a group up to age 35. She recorded the little Anelia of piano in the kindergarten. Consequently, to develop her musical ear, Svetla wanted her daughter to play the tambourine, but the family hadn’t the financial possibility and therefore the future singer teaches fiddle.
The talented singer ends her primary education in Stara Zagora. Anelia is on the second grade, when initiated by Slavka Ivanova (her singing teacher in elementary school) has formed the trio "Vocal trakiycheta” - Anelia participate in it and two of her classmates. In 1994 the trio recorded in Balkanton own slab of folk songs, mostly from Trakia. Also then on the initiative of Slavka Ivanova Anelia sing in small choir -ensemble Zagorche. For her, Anelia said she was the person, who was “guilty” of that, Anelia to begin to deal with music. As a small she goes to lessons in musical theory, folk dance, practicing gymnastics.Dimitar Kolev, conductor of the Radio Stara Zagora, recommend Anelia to teach fiddle at Nachko Vlaikov. This happened, when the singer was at the beginning of 5th grade. Anelia said about that period: "Nachko Vlaikov prepared me for the music school, he showed me how to play notes, what is ornament and I gradually started getting into music theory. He is very good teacher.”
In 1996, Anelia was admitted to the Secondary School of Music Philip Kutev - Kotel – she was the first in the ranking of the accepted students, with a score 6.00 - fiddle and 5.50 - solfeggio. Subsequently, playing the fiddle, Anelia received numerous awards . In 1997 her father died of cancer.The question: "If you have a magic wand and the ability to fulfill their three wishes, what would they be?" Anelia replied: "I haven’t three wishes, I have only one - may my father be happy with me here now."
In the second year in music school Anelia started strongly self-development technique of voice, especially ornaments. In second year she sings in restaurants, mainly in her hometown - during the holidays, also in Kotel and Kazanlak. In 2001, she completed her secondary education at SMU Philip Kutev, subject “Fiddle”.
In the summer of 2005, Anelia is taken in the State Music Academy "Pancho Vladigerov” (again first in the ranking), subject “Pop and jazz singing”.

Before finishing her musical education Anelia met Milko Kalaidjiev - longtime musician and performer of folk music. She was in a disco in Svilengrad, where Milko had involvement. At the request of friend and with the consent of Milko, Anelia performs a song. "I was dumb, when I heard it," recalls then Milko Kalaydzhiev. He insists after the graduation Anelia to start working with him and she accepts. Subsequently, at the request of another musician - Dear Roussev, son of the Thracian singer Dinka Ruseva, Ani went to sing in Switzerland. In the autumn of 2001 Anelia makes for one month repertoire of over 100 Serbian songs. After two months working in Zurich and Brig Anelia returned to Bulgaria and met with Milko Kalaidjiev, who shall bring her to trial entry "Payner Music" because he knows that at this time Todor Dimitro-Tokicha is looking for artists for his new label , now defunct, "Pro Music", which is part of "Payner". Anelia herself said that her meeting with Tokicha is the biggest luck in her life, so at the beginning of 2002 Anelia signed a contract with "Payner" and Todor Dimitrov-Tokicha became her musical director.

• Her debut album "Look into my eyes" released in late December 2002. Ever since the album is released, it’s spearheading in allcharts and stayed there for half a year. In 2003 it was sold 100,000 copies, which puts Anelia at first place this year in sales among the Bulgarian singers ever.
• On June 14th and 15th 2003 at the Summer Theatre in Plovdiv was hosted the contest for folk song - "Trakia Folk". Anelia won the first prize of the audience with the song "Love Me". She returns to the stage on the second annualTV awards "Planet", where she received a special award - singer whose videos were the most preferred in TV broadcasting in 2003
• On April 9th, 2004 her second album "Do not look back" is on the market. It also was sold over 60,000 copies in 2004, which againplaces Anelia first in sales among the Bulgarian singers. Hits from this album are "Love Me," "I Want You", "Two bodies" and "One minute."
In 2004 Anelia is one of the eight contractors, who take part in the first tour "Planeta Prima 2004". Her mix includes some of her biggest hits, including songs "Look into my eyes," "I Want You" and others.
• On March 15th , 2005 was released "Anelia - The Best Video Collection", DVD of the first independent artist, which includes all her videos for the period 2002-2004 and it was presented to the tour "Planeta Prima 2004".
In 2005 Anelia refused participation in the tour "Planeta Prima 2005" in order to prepare her new album. But because of the interests in her, she was a guest artist on two of the biggest concertof of the tour – in Varna and Plovdiv.
The third solo album of Anelia "Everything leads to you" was released on August 16th, 2005 the pilot single was declared for a hit of summer 2005 and became one of the biggest hits of the year. Besides the title song and other songs became popular too - "Do not stop," "How you betrayed the love" and "I can not stop loving you."
• In 2006 Anelia is again part of the tour "Planeta Prima 2006".Before an audience of hundreds of thousands it performs hits including "Just a moment", "Everything leads to you", "Do not stop" and others.
On October 5th, 2006 is released the fourth album of Anelia - "Ashes of Roses". It includes 10 original compositions, including hits “Till dawn$, "Only for a moment”, "Wind in your hair" and "When you’re by my side."
At the request of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Anelia was invited as a member of the nomination committee for the rise of Georgi Parvanov for a second term.
• In 2007 Anelia is again one of the stars of the tour "Planeta Derby 2007".
For the first time in her home town of Stara Zagora, she made her premiere duet song with Miro - "Forever", which subsequently won many awards.
Anelia takes part in charity concert for the Bulgarian medics in Libya under the patronage of President Georgi Parvanov.
• On April 14th, 2008. is released the fifth solo album of Anelia - "Only You".
The star is included in it ten songs plus a remix of the duet with Miro - "Forever" and the instrumental of "Traces of Love". This is the first independent project of the singer after her split with music producer Todor Dimitrov - Tokicha.
Anelia’s creative expression is founding in composing songs like "Only You", "Forever" / by Miro /, "Remember" and writing lyrics of songs - "Forever", "Remember," "Question of Love." Anelia make bold experiments and some new compositions like the song "Breath". The text and the music of the lead song "Remember" is Anelias and arrangement is by Alexander Donchev and Ivan Ivanov.
On July 1st, Anelia rocked her fans with unique live performances of some of the biggest hits from the 90s to today in modern arrangements for the second year of "MAD Secret Concerts by Coca-Cola".
Among the songsq which she perform on the eve of her birthday, were "Frozen" of Madonna, "Listen to your heart" of Roxette, "Overload" of the Sugababes, "Say it Right" of Nelly Furtado, "Liberian girl" of Michael Jackson. "No more drama" of Mary J Blidge was the supreme moment in the show and favorite song of Anelia, she always wanted to present on a big stage. The singer made a great duet with another star of the Bulgarian scene - Nora from Music Idol 2 ( "I'm Outta Love" of Anastacia), a duet with Bulgarian-Austrian Hip-Hopper, producer and director Leon ("Ready Or Not" of the Fugees), which raised up the audience, but to finish the concert Anelia presents a unique contemporary version of the folk song "Do not say goodnight, sweetheart" with e-Formation "Bulgaro".
In 2008. Anelia is again among the participants is the national tour of "Planeta Derby Plus 2008", where she presents some of the hits from her latest album "Only You".
In the category "Music Scene and music” on the ceremony of awards of "Grace" magazine Anelia receives the award "Woman of the Year", fight with the colleague Preslava - pop artists from the genre. In the poll vote people from Bulgaria, a precedent is that, a singer of her genre receives this award.
• In 2009. (24.02) of the seventh annual TV awards "Planet", Anelia won an award for excellence for special performance in 2008., she also is nominated in the categories of artistic presence in video, song, album and singer of the year.
The fifth project of singer - "Only you" won twice the title of album of the year - the awards of "New Folk" and radio "Romance."
Anelia appears on the cover of magazines:''October''- with Yvonne(21.02), ''Story''(27.02), "New Folk" (18.05), "ELLE" (July / August), ''Story ''(28.08), "New Folk" - with Ilian (5.10).
In 2009 Anelia again take part in a successful national tour of "Planet derby", where she presents a mix of hits "I do not care", "Do not force me," "The good, the bad," "Order again" and "I go on".
• The year 2010 proved again to be very dynamic career of Anelia. On January 2nd, days after welcoming the New year Anelia is a guest of Vihra and Daniela in the first edition of "New Station" for 2010.
In February Anelia has shown her commitment to the great earthquake victims in Haiti, took part in a charity concert organized by UNICEF and BTV - "Hope for the Children of Haiti" (2.02).
On February 23rd TV "Planet" presented its eighth annual awards. Anelia received the award for pop hit in 2009 for the song "I love you." On the Concert in Hall 1 of NDK the singer performed the song "Are you ready". On February 26th the video of "If I'm not with you" is on TV - the clip is a pilot for the new album of the singer "The good, the bad", which appears on the music market on March 11th, a day later, on March 12th , in Sofia disco "Night Flight" is the promotion of the sixth musical project of Anelia. The album has two new songs - "Trouble" and "Like this game."
On the awards of "New Folk", which were on March 23rd, Anelia and Ilian received the award for the duet song of 2009 for "Two things." On March 31st was the presenting of Annual Awards of Love Radio "Romance" - Anelia was awarded in the category "Artist of adventure" for 2009
On April 21st "Planeta Payner Club" in Stara Zagora was held the opening of the national fan club of Anelia, her admirers gathered from across the country.
Video to one of the total hits for 2010 "4 seconds", which takes special participation Jordan Yonchev (Gamza) - a leading musician in the orchestra of the "Ku-Ku Band" and known as one of the best trumpet players in Bulgaria, appears on June 6th .
On July 9th on Square "Alexander Nevsky" was held the concert of 20 years music company "Payner" and the launch of the new TV "Planet HD". Anelia presented two songs, one of her latest hits "Ready" and the emblematic of her career song - "Look into my eyes."Traditionally, on July 15th launched a tour of TV "Planet", in which again starred Anelia. Her mix consists of 4 songs - "Are you ready", "Trouble," "Order again" and "4 seconds".
After the summer tour of TV "Planet", Anelia is preparing for her own tour in the USA and Canada. The singer gave a memorable 12 concerts – in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, Washington, Tampa, Los Angeles, Atlantic City are just some of the towns, through which passed "Anelia US Tour 2010". For the concert in Atlanta was built a special stage with a major killer sound and lighting. The singer spent a week in Canada, where she delighted her fans with unforgettable performances in Toronto and Montreal.
On October 09th, Anelia step on Bulgarian land, at airport she was welcomed from her most beloved people - her daughter - Yvonne, her mother - Svetla, part of her fan club and teams of TV "Planet" and "New Folk” magazine. Days after her return to Bulgaria, Anelia began work on new projects. The singer delighted her fans with video of her new song - "Separation", where she appears with a completely new look.
On December 2nd, was held a concert to celebrate the ninth birthday of TV "Planet". For the audience in "Festival" Anelia performs the total hits for 2010 - "4 seconds" and "Separation".
And this year the singer once again took part in the concert for the children of the "Bulgarian Christmas", which was held on December 25th at the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov".
